Roosters’ Victor Radley Shines
Roosters’ Victor Radley was instrumental in his side’s victory over the Newcastle Knights, recording an impressive 242 metres from 21 carries, including 17 hit-ups. The Sydney-born forward, who is eligible to represent England through his father’s lineage, also made 36 tackles and a line break.
Kai Pearce-Paul’s Best NRL Performance
For the Knights, Kai Pearce-Paul produced his best performance to date in the NRL. Despite the team’s narrow defeat, the towering England international played the full 80 minutes, making 153 metres from 13 carries, including 13 hit-ups, and an outstanding 39 tackles in defence.
Bailey Hayward’s NRL Debut
Debuting for the Bulldogs in their close loss to the Storm, Scotland international Bailey Hayward came off the bench to play 38 minutes, making seven passes and 23 tackles in his first NRL appearance.
Tom Burgess Continues Try-Scoring Form
In South Sydney’s defeat to Cronulla, Tom Burgess continued his try-scoring form, making 161 metres from 17 carries, including 12 hit-ups, and 15 tackles.
Morgan Smithies’ Impressive Tackle Count
Another standout British performer was Morgan Smithies of the Canberra Raiders, who topped the tackle charts in their golden point victory over the Titans, with an impressive 43 tackles. The Wigan academy product also contributed 160 metres from 16 carries, including 16 hit-ups and 16 passes, across the 91-minute contest.
