Northampton Saints Secure Exciting Young Talent for 2024/25 Senior Academy
Northampton Saints have confirmed the eight talented youngsters who will join the club’s senior academy in the 2024/25 season, a list that includes the son of a Saints legend.
Former Tonga International’s Son Joins Northampton
Former Tonga international Soane Tonga’uiha, who spent seven impressive seasons at Franklin’s Gardens, will see his son Sonny follow in his footsteps after the aspiring prop was signed for the club’s senior academy. Sonny has been involved with the Northampton academy since the U14 level and has also earned call-ups to England’s youth camps over the past two seasons.
Promising Prospects in the Class of 2024
Alongside Sonny, the Class of 2024 features seven other promising prospects:

All eight players have been instrumental in Northampton’s successful Premiership Rugby Academy League campaign this season, with several also representing England U18s during the recent Six Nations Festival.

Academy coach Charlie Reed expressed his excitement about the new signings and believes the entire group has the potential to excel at the highest level. However, he emphasized the need for them to focus on adapting to the rigors of daily training and pushing each other to improve in the years ahead.
