Hull FC Secure Tiaki Chan’s Extended Services

Hull FC have secured the extended services of Wigan Warriors prop Tiaki Chan, according to Matt Peet’s confirmation. Chan joined Hull on an initial two-week loan, but that arrangement will now continue for the foreseeable future, with no fixed deadline or scheduled return to Wigan.

“He’s determined to commit himself to that group, he’s stayed there training when they didn’t have a game. I think he wants to earn his stripes there and earn the respect of the Hull players and staff.”

Meanwhile, fellow forward Sam Eseh has returned from his loan spell at Castleford Tigers and could feature in Wigan’s 21-man squad for their upcoming match against Salford. Peet expressed his belief that the experience will be valuable for Eseh’s development, stating, “If he is selected in the 21, I think it will be a great experience for him.”

Wigan will be without suspended duo Kaide Ellis and Sam Walters for the Salford game, but Peet has already revealed that Mike Cooper and Harvie Hill will step in to fill the void. Peet described the replacements as “no-nonsense, good front-rowers” with both possessing a physical presence and commitment to their roles.

As the rugby league season continues, these player movements and squad adjustments will be crucial for teams like Hull FC and Wigan Warriors as they strive to maintain their competitiveness and secure favorable results in the upcoming fixtures.
