Huddersfield Giants Lock Down Tui Lolohea with Two-Year Contract Extension
Huddersfield Giants have announced the signing of a new two-year contract extension with standout player Tui Lolohea. The 28-year-old joined the club from Salford Red Devils ahead of the 2021 season and has since cemented his place as a key member of the Giants lineup.
In his debut season with Huddersfield, Lolohea played an integral role in the team’s third-place finish in the league and march to the Challenge Cup final. He recorded an impressive 25 try assists, the second-highest in the league that year.
The talented playmaker has continued his strong form, currently leading the Giants with eight try assists this season. His standout performances have included a memorable two-try display in a victory over Hull FC.
“It’s really exciting for me, they’ve been loyal to me since I joined here, and it allows me to focus on my rugby now the deal is all signed and sorted,” said Lolohea. “This extension is a good opportunity, I’m looking forward to the next couple of years, there’s 100% unfinished business for me being in a final and the top 3.”
Giants assistant coach Luke Robinson praised Lolohea’s consistent impact, stating:
“When Tui plays well, we win. Even in the losses he always puts his hand up and has been one of the shining lights in our sides, he plays consistent rugby and he’s one of the most consistent in the league.”
With Lolohea’s future secured at the Huddersfield Giants until at least the end of the 2026 season, the club and its supporters can look forward to the dynamic rugby league star continuing to entertain and inspire on the pitch.
