In a bittersweet move, centre Tom Hendrickson is set to bid farewell to Exeter Chiefs with immediate effect, as he embarks on a new playing venture in Japan. The fan-favourite, who has been an integral part of the Chiefs’ fold for over a decade, will soon don the colours of a new club.
Known for his abrasive and hard-running style, the powerful centre has amassed an impressive tally of 89 appearances and nine tries during his time calling Sandy Park home. Hendrickson expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to have spent the majority of his rugby career donning the Exeter jersey.
“After 10 years at the club, it’s bittersweet to be saying goodbye. I’ve loved my time in a Chiefs shirt having grown up in Cornwall, looking up to all the great players that have pulled on the Exeter colours,” said Hendrickson.
