Rugby League Sensation Regan Grace Set to Make Surprise Leap to International Rugby Union Arena
Port Talbot-born winger Regan Grace has been making waves in the rugby league world, and now he’s set to take his talents to the international stage in the 15-man code. After six successful years with St Helens, where he scored an impressive 88 tries in 141 appearances, Grace is poised to don the Welsh jersey in rugby union.
Grace’s move to rugby union has been a rocky one, marked by a string of serious injuries. He initially signed with French Top 14 side Racing 92 for the 2023 season, but a ruptured Achilles during his final year with the Saints derailed those plans. However, Grace has since recovered and signed a deal with Bath for the 2024-25 season, with an option to extend it further.
“Despite his lack of competitive rugby union experience, Grace’s impressive pedigree in the league code has earned him a surprise call-up to Wales’ summer squad.”
Though he won’t be available for the match against South Africa, as it falls outside the World Rugby International window, Grace will be in contention to make his debut in Wales’ home fixtures against Australia in July.
This latest development marks an exciting chapter in Grace’s career, as he looks to make the transition from rugby league star to international rugby union talent. Fans of the sport will be eager to see how the versatile winger fares at the highest level of the 15-man game.
