Argentina Stun All Blacks in Thrilling 38-30 Victory

In a stunning turn of events, the Argentina national rugby union team claimed a momentous 38-30 victory over the formidable All Blacks in their Rugby Championship clash on Saturday. Veteran forward Agustin Creevy hailed the triumph as “fucking amazing” after his try-scoring cameo off the bench helped secure only the Pumas’ second-ever win in New Zealand.

“It was amazing. We had a really good performance,” he told Sky Sport NZ. Creevy emphasized the importance of striking first, stating, “We talked in the week to hit first and I think we hit first and we dominated the whole game.”

The Pumas’ captain, Pablo Matera, was equally impressive, praising his team’s adherence to their pre-game strategy.

“We had a great week of preparation. We had a plan and we stuck to the whole plan even when the score wasn’t in our favour, and we just kept going and yeah, we got the win,” Matera said.

Creevy’s influential display off the bench, which included a crucial try, was instrumental in the Pumas’ triumph.

“Sometimes it’s 50/50 you know but today the luck was on my side,” the veteran commented. For Creevy, this victory held special meaning, as it marked his first-ever win in New Zealand during his illustrious career.

“Look for me personally, I’m 39 and this is my first time here in my whole life to win in New Zealand. That is so important for me and for the whole team,” he said, highlighting the significance of this result for both himself and the Argentina national team.

The Pumas’ togetherness and determination were evident throughout the match, as Matera attested.

“You can see we are very connected. We love spending time together and love getting to know each other, and that’s where the energy of the team comes from.”

This stunning victory over the mighty All Blacks has undoubtedly shaken up the Rugby Championship, leaving the New Zealand squad with plenty to ponder as they head into their next fixtures.
