Rugby League Playoff Dates Confirmed with Sky Sports and BBC Coverage
As the race to the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford intensifies, the dates and times for this year’s play-off fixtures have been officially announced.
Following the conclusion of the regular season’s Round 23 over the weekend, only four more rounds remain before the highly anticipated play-offs commence. The first eliminator match, pitting 4th place against 5th, will kick off on Friday, September 27, broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The following day, September 28, sees the second eliminator between 3rd place and 6th take place, with this game airing on both Sky Sports and BBC Sport.
The Semi-Final Stage
The semi-final stage will then unfold the following week, with the first semi-final scheduled for Friday, October 4, featuring the 2nd place team against the highest-ranked eliminator winner. This will also be shown exclusively on Sky Sports.
The second semi-final on Saturday, October 5, will see the 1st place team take on the lowest-ranked eliminator winner, and will be split between Sky Sports and BBC Sport coverage.
The Super League Grand Final
As previously announced, the highly anticipated Super League Grand Final will be held at the iconic Old Trafford on Saturday, October 12, with a 6pm kickoff time, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Every game of the Super League play-offs will be available to viewers through Sky Sports’ comprehensive coverage, while two matches will also be shown on the BBC, ensuring maximum exposure for the thrilling climax to the season.
