Veteran Winger Announces Homecoming
Veteran rugby league winger Ryan Hall is set to make a homecoming to the Leeds Rhinos in 2025, signing a one-year contract for the final season of his illustrious career. The England international, who announced his departure from Hull KR on Sunday, will return to the Headingley club where he made his name over a 12-year span from 2007 to 2018.
The 37-year-old Hall, who will hang up his boots at the end of the 2025 season, will then take on a role within the Rhinos’ commercial department, bringing his playing days to a close. Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington expressed his delight at re-signing the iconic winger, stating, “Ryan is passionate about Leeds Rhinos and it was an easy decision to bring him back home.”
Valuable Leadership and Mentorship
Leeds head coach Rohan Smith echoed these sentiments, noting that Hall’s leadership and mentorship will be invaluable for the team’s younger players, many of whom are emerging from the club’s acclaimed academy. “He is highly respected by his team-mates and I think he will be a great addition to our group,” said Smith.
Determined to Finish Strong
Hall, who is currently chasing the Super League’s all-time try-scoring record, is eager to finish his career on a high note with the Rhinos. “I am really happy that my career is going full circle and I will play my final year at the Rhinos,” he commented. The veteran winger is determined to earn his spot in the team each week, while also sharing his knowledge and experience with the club’s up-and-coming talents.
“The opportunity for me to start that next stage of my life at the Rhinos from 2026 onwards is wonderful,” he said.
As he prepares for his rugby league return, Hall is excited to embark on the next chapter of his career, which will see him transition into a commercial role at the Rhinos.
