“There is a lot of hard graft that has been going on in a running capacity, but I’m excited to be able to start actually rehabbing my thumb from this week onwards,” Galligan said.
The Saracens player has been keen to stay engaged with the squad, even on game days. She made her debut as a media contributor for the BBC rugby union coverage, offering a unique player’s perspective during the team’s recent victory over reigning champions Gloucester-Hartpury.
“Being able to give a player voice on coverage is a unique experience and helps viewers understand the game from a different perspective,” Galligan explained.
With the regular season drawing to a close, Saracens secured a home semi-final through their hard-fought win over Gloucester-Hartpury. The team then faced off against Loughborough Lightning, overcoming the challenge with a bonus-point victory and finishing the campaign on a high note.
As the rugby union playoffs approach, Galligan is eager to provide exclusive insights into the upcoming semi-finals, where Gloucester-Hartpury will take on Exeter Chiefs, and Saracens will clash with Bristol Bears.
