Cornish Pirates Announce Dual Registration with Exeter Chiefs for James McRae
Cornwall, England – The Cornish Pirates have confirmed that back rower James McRae will continue his dual registration with Exeter Chiefs for the upcoming 2019/20 rugby union season. The 23-year-old Liverpool native, who previously represented England’s under-16 ‘A’ team, England Students, and Exeter University, made 15 appearances for the Cornish Pirates during the 2018/19 campaign.
Cornish Pirates’ joint coach Alan Paver expressed his enthusiasm about welcoming McRae back to the squad, stating:
“Having James return will provide a massive boost to the team, not only because he is talented in an area that we need him but because he is diligent around his work and ambitious in his learning, which keeps him driven.”
Paver further noted that with a year of experience under his belt, McRae’s integration back into the Cornish Pirates lineup is expected to be a smooth one, as the club eagerly anticipates his return.
The news of McRae’s dual registration with Exeter Chiefs for a second consecutive season underscores the strong partnership between the two rugby union clubs, as they continue to develop talented players and provide them with opportunities to showcase their skills at the highest levels of the game.
