Departures

“Jack Broadbent will join Hull KR on a permanent deal, while Corey Hall’s loan spell at Castleford will end, as he signs for Wakefield Trinity in 2025. The club has also confirmed that half-back Danny Richardson will not be offered a new contract.”

Off-Contract Players

Liam Watts, Liam Horne, Samy Kibula, and Charbel Tasipale have one-year extension options, while Luis Johnson, Brad Martin, Tex Hoy, and Dan Hindmarsh-Takyi’s deals expire at the end of the current season.

Potential Exits

Brad Martin is rumored to be leaving, with Leigh Leopards interested, while there is also interest in Tex Hoy from other clubs, though Castleford are reportedly working to retain him.

Squad Needs

If Hoy departs, fullback will be a priority for the Tigers, with Luke Hooley facing competition from the likes of Broadbent. The club’s efforts to sign Corey Hall permanently suggest they are also in the market for a new centre. Additional forward reinforcements may also be required, depending on the futures of players like Watts and Hindmarsh-Takyi.

With 23 senior players already under contract, Castleford may need to make room in their squad to pursue any significant new signings for the 2025 rugby league season.
