The eleventh round of the Betfred League One competition saw a series of tight encounters, with one match resulting in Cornwall RLFC’s first home win of the 2024 campaign.

In Cumbria, Workington Town narrowly lost to Hunslet RLFC, despite a late comeback. The West Yorkshire side held on to claim their fourth consecutive victory, despite Workington’s efforts to close the gap after trailing 4-24 earlier in the game.

Keighley Cougars continued their fine form, securing a win against Midlands Hurricanes. This result came on the back of their impressive victory over table-toppers Oldham in the previous round, keeping the Cougars at the top of the league table.

In a dramatic encounter, Oldham RLFC bounced back to winning ways against North Wales Crusaders. The Crusaders had led 24-8 at Colwyn Bay, but a late surge from Oldham, including a match-winning drop goal from Danny Craven, saw them snatch the two points.

Meanwhile, it was a memorable afternoon for Cornwall RLFC, who produced a dominant second-half performance to secure their first home win of the 2024 season against Newcastle Thunder. The Choughs scored 24 unanswered points, including a brace from Cameron Brown, to secure a comfortable victory.
