Betfred League One Gears Up for Crucial Round 11 Clashes
As the Betfred League One competition resumes this weekend, teams are set to battle it out in Round 11, with crucial points on the line.
The Keighley Cougars have cemented their position at the top of the table, securing a vital win against Oldham last Sunday. Debutant Izaac Farrell scored for the Cougars, who dominated the game and crossed the line five times to maintain their lead in the competition. This Sunday (2 June), the Cougars will travel to face the Midland Hurricanes, who recorded their first win over North Wales Crusaders since 2017 last weekend. However, the Hurricanes have only managed to beat Sunday’s opponents once in their last five meetings, a 24-18 defeat back in 2021.

Oldham will be looking to bounce back from their defeat when they visit the North Wales Crusaders on Saturday (1 June). The Crusaders have experienced six consecutive losses and failed to overcome the Roughyeds on three occasions last season.
Meanwhile, Hunslet’s strong second-half performance saw them defeat Cornwall 42-16 last weekend. Alan Kilshaw’s side will now travel to face Workington Town, with Jarrod Summat just one try away from reaching the 200-mark – a milestone he could achieve on Sunday.
Rounding out the fixtures, Cornwall will host Newcastle Thunder at The Memorial Ground on Sunday. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides, who currently occupy the bottom two positions in the league table.
