The 23-Test All Black has put pen to paper on a new deal, ensuring the Crusaders will continue to benefit from the services of one of New Zealand’s most formidable attacking threats. “This club is special to me, and so much more than just a rugby team – it’s a family,” said the 27-year-old. “I can’t wait to pull the jersey on again next season and prove to everyone what we can do.”
Reece has also decided to shift his provincial allegiance in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship (NPC) from Tasman to Southland, citing his partner Kiri’s family connections in the region.
Crusaders head coach Rob Penney expressed his delight at securing the services of the “world-class athlete” who has “earnt his spot as our all-time top try-scorer.”
